Everything you need to know about International Beach Clean-up Day September 15!

Even though we love cleaning up our local beaches every day that we can, it is even more fun to do it as a group. That is why we want to share information about International Beach Clean-up day, which is approaching fast: September 15th.

The Insider Info

The international coastal clean-up began 30 years ago and they have been going strong ever since. Ocean Conservancy, the organization that hosts the clean-up, has many programs that exist to take care of our oceans, but the clean-up was started by two women who had a passion to make a difference. Since the first clean-up, there have been many states and over one hundred countries all around the world that are participating in a day of cleaning up!

How you Can Get Involved

Getting involved is easy. Check out their website here, and find the location closest to you. From there, all you have to do is sign-up and show up! If you don’t see a location near you but you know of somewhere that you want to clean, you can also add a new clean-up location. If you are local (Washington State) join us for our clean
