Welcome to the next installment of our volunteer spotlight blog series! In this series, we are highlighting volunteers from all around the world that help with the Million Waves Project. Today we are showcasing our project coordinator in Brazil, Paulo Leandro. Paul has been with Million Waves since September. He has been a project coordinator, so he was excited to step into the role here. His vision for his role is to help with administrative tasks and organize their branches second beach clean-up this February!
Paul has admired the work that Alana has done, and so he has loved getting to help with Million Waves in any way that he can. He said: “I believe in Million Waves’ mission. The project gave me the opportunity to do something that I always knew I needed to do, but I didn't know how. I want to help create a better place, help to create a better world right now and for the next generations.”
“We need to make an effort to build a better world every single day. It's like ant labor. Alone isn’t possible to do so, but together is possible to do the impossible. I believe in the goodwill that surrounds us. The evil is smaller than good, but it's noised. The good actions can and should be noisier than that.”
Thank you Paul for all of the hard work that you have put into Million Waves! Also, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for photos from the beach clean-up in January.
If you or anyone you know has been volunteering with Million Waves, let us know! We would love to feature them!
